Passage: 1 Chronicles 29:18
O LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, our fathers, preserve this forever in the intentions of the heart of Your people, and direct their heart to You; and give to my son Solomon a perfect heart to keep Your commandments, Your testimonies and Your statutes, and to do them all, and to build the temple, for which I have made provision. 1 Chronicles 29:18-19
Greater legacy is preserved in the heart. 18
Greater legacy is something great for God. 19
. . .for the temple is not for man, but for the LORD God.
Greater legacy is capturing the hearts of consecrated people. 2-9 (5)
. . .Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the LORD?
The people gave willingly. 6
The people gave generously. 7-8
The people gave whole-heartedly. 9
The people gave joyfully. 9
Greater legacy celebrates generosity.
Moreover, in my delight in the house of my God, the treasure I have of gold and silver, I give to the house of my God, over and above all that I have already provided for the holy temple. 1 Chronicles 29:3
Greater legacy celebrates the supremacy of God.
Celebrate personally.
Celebrate confessionally.
Celebrate with humility.
Celebrate your destiny.
Celebrate His sufficiency.
Celebrate integrity.
Greater legacy unites God’s people.
Then David said to all the assembly, “Now bless the LORD your God.” And all the assembly blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers, and bowed low and did homage to the LORD and to the king. 1 Chronicles 29:20
The very nature or idea of legacy is a vision for the future.
