The resurrected Jesus causes awe and reverence in His people. 17a
When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. . . .17a
The resurrected Jesus initiates a relationship with His people. 17b
And He placed His right hand on me, saying. . .17b
The resurrected Jesus calms the fears of His people. 17c
Do not be afraid:. . .17c
He calms our immediate fears in life.
I am the first and the last, and the Living One; 17d-18a
1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
He calms our imminent fear of death.
and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore 18b
He calms our ultimate fear of eternity.
and I have the keys of death and of Hades 18c
