Series: Greater Vision

Passage: John 14:12
Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”
God has always provided a vision. The Bible is full of vision stories.
Moses saw a vision of God in a burning bush. Exodus 3:1-10
Joshua saw a vision of God in the promised land. Joshua 5:13-15
Isaiah saw a vision of God in the temple. Isaiah 6:1-8
Stephen saw a vision of Jesus standing at the right hand of the Father. Acts 7:55
Peter saw a vision from God on the housetop. Acts 10:9-48
Paul saw a vision from God about Macedonia. Acts 16:9-10
John saw a vision from God on Patmos. Revelation 1:9-20
Greater vision begins with greater faith.
12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me,
Greater vision sees greater fruitfulness.
12. . . the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do. . .
First, Believers do the works that Jesus did.
Second, Believers will do greater works than Jesus did.
. . .because I go to the Father
Third, Believers experience the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. (John 14:25; 16:7-14)
Fourth, Believers experience Jesus in His glorified state.
Greater Vision requires greater prayer.
13 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen
Greater vision results in greater love and obedience.
15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 34 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
