The Foundations of Mission clarifies the biblical and theological foundations which are critical to the missionaries of the International Mission Board (IMB) and for the churches that send and support them.  This study will help you clearly understand Christ’s command to make disciples among all the nations, who missionaries are, what missionaries do, why the church must send and support missionaries, and how we can help them succeed as we partner together to advance the Revelation 7:9 vision. There is a 165-page Foundations booklet you will receive, along with the 104-page Companion Guide.  The eight lessons will be as follows:

  •  Lesson 1: Who We Are & What We Do
  • Lesson 2: The Purpose of Foundations for the IMB and Local Churches
  • Lesson 3: The Six Components of the Missionary Task
  • Lesson 4: Convictions & Values
  • Lesson 5: Six Marks of a Transformed Disciple
  • Lesson 6: Leadership Development
  • Lesson 7: Healthy Church Formation
  • Lesson 8: Praying, Sending, & Partnering

The Foundations of Mission study will begin at 6:00 PM with a light dinner, and our study will be from 6:30-7:45 PM.
