Passage: 1 Corinthians 7:7-9
Christ-centered singleness is a gift from God.
Singleness is a gift and not a curse. 7:7
7:7 Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am. However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that.
Christ-centered singleness is declared good by God.
Singleness is called good and not bad.
7:8 But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain even as I.
Christ-centered singleness brings glory to God.
Christ-centered singleness can reflect the gospel.
Christ-centered singleness compels godly pursuit.
Defeat sexual impurity. 7:9
Defeat selfish pursuits. 7:35
Marriage is not better, Jesus is.
Make Jesus your greatest treasure above every relationship.
All believers need the church (including singles.)
