We rejoice in the greater progress of the gospel despite circumstances. 12
We rejoice despite chains. 12-14
Our chains connect to the lost.
Our chains give courage to the believers.
We rejoice despite contention. 15-17
Some preach with impure motives of envy, strife, and self-ambition.
Some preach with pure motives of good will and love.
We rejoice in Christ preached. 18
We rejoice in Christ being exalted. 19-20
We have confidence in our deliverance by prayer and provision.
We have hope in His exaltation whether in life or death.
