The last witness of Jesus concerns His Word. 18a
18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book:
Psalm 119:25 Revive me according to Your Word.
Psalm 119:89 Your Word O LORD is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.
Psalm 119:114 I have put my hope in your word.
Psalm 119:160 All your words are true; all your righteous laws eternal
Psalm 138:2 for you have exalted above all things your name and your word
Luke 8:11 The seed is the Word of God.
John 1:1, 14 In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . 14 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us
Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God
Ephesians 6:17 The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God.
Colossians 3:16 Let the Word of Christ dwell richly in you.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the Word
1 Peter 1:23 for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
1 Peter 1:25 But the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word which was preached to you.
2 Peter 3:5 by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed
The last warning of Jesus concerns His Word.
18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.
The last word of Jesus concerns His coming.
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
His testimony promises His coming.
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.”
His church pleads for His coming.
20. . . Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
His grace provides until His coming.
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
