God’s greater calling is personal.
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus cby the will of God, according to the promise of life in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my beloved bson: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
His call is to us individually.
His call is to benefit the community.
His call is fulfilled in ministry.
God’s greater calling is grateful.
3 I thank God,. . .
God’s greater calling is prayerful.
3. . .as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day,
God’s greater calling is joyful.
4. . .so that I may be filled with joy.
God’s greater calling is mindful.
5 For I am mindful. . .
God’s greater calling is spiritual.
6 For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
God’s greater calling is powerful.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
