Passage: Colossians 1:24-29
Colossians 1:24-29
Biblical Ministry is joyful (Colossians 1:24)
- Joy is Persevering (I rejoice in my sufferings)
- Joy is Patient (filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions)
- Joy is Participating (for the sake of his body, that is, the church)
Acts 2:46-47
Biblical ministry is divinely equipped (Colossians 1:25-27)
- Divine Equipping is a stewardship (I became a minister according to the stewardship of God)
- Divine Equipping is for others (the stewardship of God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known).
2 Timothy 2:1-2
- Divine Equipping is for the gospel (to make the word of God fully known, the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints).
Biblical ministry is cooperative (Colossians 1:28-29)
- Cooperating with each other to fulfill the Biblical ministry that God has given to us (His church).
- Cooperating with the power of God working in us (for this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.)
